Are there child discounts? And from what age can my child join?
Two things up front, because people often ask about them together: the price and the minimum age.
Are there special prices or discounts for children?
Yes, we offer a discount for children. Your child doesn’t paddle alone but together with an adult in the boat: on the Rur in a double kayak, on the Heimbach Reservoir in a canoe. The reduced child price applies to:
- Heimbach Reservoir tour: children aged 7 to 13
- Rur tour: children aged 9 to 13
From age 14, your child pays the regular price. You can see the exact child price clearly in the booking calendar as soon as you’ve picked your tour and date.
From what age can my child join?
- Heimbach Reservoir tour: from age 7 (calmer water, an ideal way to start)
- Rur tour: from age 9 (current and bends, a bit more action)
