How long does a canoe tour take?

That depends on which tour you do. Here are the guide times for our two routes:

Rur tour: 14 km, about 4.5 hours all in

Our guided Rur tour covers 14 km from Heimbach to Zerkall. With everything around it, you should plan about 4.5 hours. Of that, you’re actively on the water for 2.5 to 3 hours, plus a half-hour break on a meadow in Blens. The rest goes on the welcome, the briefing and getting the boats in and out of the water. Better to plan a little more time than too little.

Heimbach Reservoir tour: 6 km, about 2 to 2.5 hours

On the Heimbach Reservoir you paddle about 6 km in roughly 2 to 2.5 hours. A calmer, relaxed pace that works well for families and beginners too.

Tip: It’s best to be on time at the meeting point, so the briefing can run calmly and you can start relaxed. Running late? Give us a quick call and we’ll find a solution together. You’ll find your preferred date in the booking calendar.
