Can I do a multi-day canoe tour on the Rur?
Unfortunately, the Rur isn’t suitable for multi-day canoe tours.
The section we paddle is a guided tour over 14 km from Heimbach to Zerkall. Before and after this section, the Rur can’t be paddled.
Important things to know about the Rur:
- Landing and camping along the Rur are strictly prohibited, because the area is a nature reserve, private land or part of the Eifel National Park.
- The Rur can only be paddled as far as Obermaubach (about 20 km), and we don’t paddle the last section.
