What if I capsize on the water?
First of all, relax: on the Heimbach Reservoir you’re out in our super stable four-seater canoes. In over 30 years, nobody at Kanu Petry has ever managed to capsize one of these boats by accident, promise! And for deliberate kayak stunts, the rule is: in the nature reserve, capsizing and extra-wild water fights are of course off limits. Nature and wildlife will thank you!
And the best part: on every tour, on the Rur as well as on the reservoir, an experienced Kanu Petry guide is always with you. So if, against all odds, someone does go for a swim, you’re never alone on the water. In an emergency the guide knows exactly what to do and gets you safely back into the boat.
So: stay calm, keep your life jacket on and follow the instructions. And don’t worry, help is always close at hand!
