What happens if the weather is bad?

You’ll get a little wet when canoeing anyway, that’s just part of it! A few splashes, a bit of wind in your hair and maybe a short shower are what make the tour feel truly authentic.

Light rain? Pack your rain jacket and off you go!

A bit of drizzle doesn’t scare off real paddlers. Quite the opposite: the water is often especially quiet then, and nature feels even stiller, almost mystical. So if you don’t mind a bit of weather, you’ll have a great time.

But what if there’s a real thunderstorm?

Thunder and lightning? That’s where the fun stops, and safety comes first. In that case, we:

  • keep a close eye on the weather in advance,
  • get in touch with you in good time if the weather turns dangerous,
  • and you choose between a new date, a voucher or your money back.

In short:

A bit of weather chaos: we paddle!
Thunderstorms and gales: better not. That’s what Plan B is for.

Tip: Bringing a rain jacket never hurts, and dry clothes in the car make the rest of the day after the tour nice and cozy again.
