Is there phone reception along the way?
Depends on how adventurous your phone is feeling! 😉
In the Eifel National Park and along the Rur, reception can get a bit moody: sometimes full bars, sometimes pure nature with no signal at all. On the Heimbach Reservoir it’s a similar story: near the shore and at the put-in/take-out it’s usually okay, but out in the middle your phone may well declare “I’m on vacation!”.
In short:
Expect not to have reception everywhere. Enjoy the digital break and listen to the splashing water instead of your ringtone!
